I have a scenario where i have multiple domains that live in one office365 tenant. I have local AD and trust built between both domains. I have a domain local distribution group created. in the local AD of either domain i can have users from either domain. However when i sync the group up to Office365 the only users that are members are the ones that the group was created.
for an example, I create a group called helloworld@msn.com in the msn.com AD as a domain local distribution group. I then add my users from helloworld@msn.com domain and add a couple from fabricom.com domain everything looks good. I then run a start-adsyncsynccycle- policytype delta and the group is synced up to office365. However the only users that are present are from the msn.com domain. This happens in reverse as well.
