We are looking at migrating from Exchange 2007 (SBS 2008) to Office 365 Midsize Business. We use Public folders for archiving project emails (architecture firm), calendars, resources, and contact lists. I am confused with the terminology with public folder limits - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/exchange-online-limits.aspx.
It says we can have up to 50 50GB (2.5TB max) public folder mailboxes. Does mailbox refer to the container, or the individual mail-enabled public folder? This page leads me to believe that mailbox refers to the container, and folder refers to the individual public folder.
Can anyone confirm? And if I am correct, is there a limit to the number of individual public folders?
We have 45 users using 225GB and 1,200 public folders using 175GB.
Thanks.
