Hi All,
I've watched several tutorials on how to perform a Cutover Migration from our on-premise Exchange 2010 servers to Exchange Online, yet I don't see any mention of how to deal with the fact that the on-premise Autodiscover record will still exist in our local DNS, and will still point users to their old, on-premise mailboxes when we try to create the new Outlook profiles (we have a mix of Outlook 2007 and 2010).
In fact, even when I try to create a new profile just to test connecting to a mailbox I created in Exchange Online which sits on my domain.onmicrosoft.com domain and not on my vanity domain, local Autodiscover kicks in and I don't get the option to do anything else other than manually input the details. I got around this by using registry hacks, but obviously this isn't a 'solution', more of a workaround, and I wouldn't like to deploy said reg hacks to all of my users. So how are we meant to connect our Outlook client profiles to their new online mailboxes??
Has anyone dealt with this scenario at all, please?
Thanks in advance.
Dave
