Ok, so about 2 months ago I started down the road of implementing Exchange Online Archiving for our hosted Exchange 2013 environment. This projects has had many twists and turns and been escalated up through many levels of Microsoft support, for no other reason than their available documentation and level of training for their support professionals is completely lacking. Depending on who you talk to on their support team will get you many different and conflicting answers and each team member is so convincing in their knowledge of the product that you can't help but trust their opinion even though it completely conflicts with the answer you may have just received ten minutes prior.
