We are having some trouble with a unique problem. Here are the details.
Scenario:
We have a SBS Server 2008/Exchange 2007 box with multiple accepted domains
For example, we have primarydomain.com and additionaldomain.com on SBS01
additionaldomain.com was added temporarily for a new company while until we moved them off to 365. It has now been moved off of SBS01 to Office 365.
Primary domain still resides on SBS01
Problem:
When trying to configure Outlook to access the additionaldomain.com mailbox on a domain computer that is inside the network, it keeps resolving back to SBS01.
We can set the computer to use public DNS servers and configure the mailbox on 365, but it eventually breaks and reverts back to the onsite SBS01.
We have removed it as an accepted domain. All public DNS (MX, Autoconfig, etc..) changes have been made and allowed to...
