OneDrive for Business sync problems

I have several customers that have this issue. Their OneDrive for Business will stop syncing. It'll show most of the files and folders synced but other will have a red X and others will not have the sync icon over them at all. They're under the 20,000 item limit and the app in the notification tray will continuously show that it's syncing a certain amount of files without ever continuing. That's after a restart of the app and the computer. The last one said it was syncing 483 items and would never continue. Other than telling the app to stop syncing and re-syncing the entire library, are there any other options here? This becomes a problem when users have 100GB +/- libraries.
