I am currently involved in 2 infrastructure refresh projects and part of these projects encapsulates the future direction of the messaging environment. One is currently a highly available Exchange 2010 infrastructure being used to support roughly 600 users, predominantly Outlook users (on-premises and Outlook Anywhere) and ActiveSync. 95% of my experience is with on-premises email environments. Likewise for the second, however only about 150 users.
I am interested to hear from those who have moved to Office 365 or Exchange Online either by choice or involuntarily, and how you view the experience? Are you happy with the transition?
