I want to make sure I'm not missing something here. I have read a lot about Office 365 (including in the Spiceworks community) and can see the benefits for home users and small business (SBS?) but struggle to see what it adds for medium to large businesses especially those which are stable, mature and have a base of up to date and working physical/VM servers.
Surely, Office 365 is simply adding great complexity plus additional points of failure? I have read all the blurb and understand the premise that hosted servers don't need patching, are low maintenance, etc, etc but I can't see how this outweighs the loss of control and additional points of failure that it introduces.
I like to be an early adopter and keep my LAN/WAN as up to date as possible (we have MS VL with SA) and don't want to be missing out on the latest and greatest but I...
