So in a nutshell I had a Lync 2013 Server up and running with the eval version and gave users the basic client for lync to pay around with. No surprise everyone loved it after the eval was up users were coming up to me asking what happened, why can't they log in. So now that we have some excitement and interest in the tool in comes the pricing monster. Ready to create shock and awe when he shows his fees for enterprise user cals. While I really like the idea of installing and configuring lync in house (it was actually pretty fun and challenging to setup on my first go), I can't seem to justify the exorbitant cost difference between online and in house for this product.
