Hello everyone! We have recently made the migration to 365 and were working out a few kinks. The biggest problem that we are having is linked SharePoint lists to Outlook 2010. We have 2 contacts lists that we share on the 365 team sites. We have no problem connecting these lists to the user clients and they work great most of the time. However, occasionally one or both of the lists will drop.
Let me explain. When this happens you can open up the contacts tab in Outlook and the list is there and all the contacts are there. However if you open a new email and click the 'to' field to select an address, the list is not there. Same goes for the address book option in the top ribbon, open it up and the SharePoint list is not there. Doing a Ctrl +K look-up will not find these addresses either.
To solve the problem we have to go back into the contacts tab, delete the list and reconnect it through SharePoint team sites. Even though this workaround is rather simple, I would rather now have to run around and re-sync contact lists all day. Has anyone else experienced this?
Little background info:
We have 2 contacts lists, one with about 200 contacts and another one over 5K
I know that SharePoint has a hard limit of 5k for viewing lists, but this list works when we sync it and its not just the 5K list that drops, we will lost either one or both, so I do not believe that this is a list size issue.
This issue effects both XP and Win7 workstations.
Thanks ahead of time for any replies!
