this is my first Spiceworks post, and its safe to assume all posts to follow will be heavily based on limiting internet usage with the ever growing cloud-based software.
Why would you opt for cloud orientated software if you don't want to use the internet you ask? Firstly, there's no avoidingthe fact that the IT world is rapidly movingtowards the cloud andaway from on-premise systems. Secondly,I provide IT support tolocal businesses on a very small island way down in the SouthAtlanticOcean. Ourinternet connection to the outside world is100% via satallite, which simply means its slow andunreliable.
Iliketo work under two simple mottos: 1. if it ain't broke, don't fix it, and 2. if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
