Anyone using Exchange Online Protection?

Working with a client who needed spam filtering ASAP for their on-premises email server, so I decided to sign them up for an EOP trial. Given the $1/user pricing, this seemed like an attractive service.

So far though, I am finding the service pretty meh. Setup was relatively easy (although their instructions for configuring connectors were not clear where to do this. I finally found the Mail Flow settings after digging around the Office 365 portal).

It looks like Microsoft is trying to play catch up again to the others in this area. For example, while there are end user quarantines, it looks like users can only check this via an email that seems I can only have sent once a day instead of the user having a way to login or deliver any quarantine notifications at the top of the hour.

I'm also finding the info lacking on why messages where marked as spam. Not sure how if there is a way for users to set up individual allow/block lists either.

So it is a little underwhelming so far, but I'll see how well it actually filters spam. I've had it in place since last evening, but the dashboard reports no messages have been received or filter which is also annoying since I see items in quarantine already.

Oh well, just thought I would see if anyone else is using this and what they thought about it.
