We are looking at moving to an Office 365 model, likely the hybrid setup. We currently have 300 mailboxes and 4 databases. Connectivity to the servers is not an issue but our Officers are concerned with support and performance of the system. I have already contacted one of our vendors to start talks about cost and demo setups but, i would like some feedback from companies of the mid to enterprise size to see what you think of your office 365 structure.
How is management of the system? Are there any issues with connecting to your local AD domain (we have 1 domain 2 site)? What type of small issues do you run into? What does granular restore look like and how well does it work? Things of that nature.
We are comparing this to an onsite Enterprise cluster for the 2014 Q4 or 2015 time frame. I can read Microsoft's articles all day but i trust feedback from admins that use it more.
