Email "Disabled" Document Libraries Workaround?

I'm trying to solve one last hurdle to allow us to migrate to SharePoint Online: The lack of Email Enabled Document Libraries.

I've looked at the 3rd Party solutions and none of them seem to fit. I don't want to have individual users connect a client to their Outlook and then sync to SharePoint, and we do not have Exchange on prem (that is also hosted in Office 365.)

Does anybody have any suggestions? Syncing a Document Library to Outlook works great for existing files, but the issue occurs when you want to add a new document to the library (almost like they didn't include that functionality because there was already a way to get a document into a Library when using Outlook - Email it.)

I know Microsoft will come out with something eventually (they have to, lots of people use this feature) but I can't exactly migrate and just tell everybody that we've lost half our functionality and to just hang tight for a year or two. On the flip side, I don't want to deploy and upgrade to SharePoint 2013 on prem. Microsoft has made it very clear where their focus lies.
