I'm thinking about the free for non-profit version which allows 25 gig per box.
I just pulled up a report from our email archiver and we have 5 users with boxes over 40 gig and another 5 that are close to 25. Seven more will probably hit 25 in the next 18 to 24 months.
We can pay an additional fee to add another 25 gig per box, but even that won't be enough for our largest users. We can also go to the full version, which is unlimited.
But, what I'm wondering is, if we stick with the free version, what would be our best way to maintain access to these old emails? For now, and for a while unfortunately, most of the users will be on XP so will be accessing Outlook via OWA, not locally.
I can export from the archive to a PST. I guess I could leave Outlook 2003 on the PCs and point that to the PST so they could see their old mail, but then they wouldn't be able to do anything other than look at the messages - no replying, forwarding, etc... And they'd probably get confused, going back and forth between OWA and the local Outlook.
Any other ideas?
