We need to create a generic email address "alert@mycompany.com" on office365. This is for the sole purpose of an application to send out emails to users as per the alert settings. Whenever the user receives the alert email, the from address should show this generic email address - "alert@mycompany.com". Also no user must be able to reply to this email address like a "noreply@mycompany.com"
I have created the email address as a shared mailbox - not sure if this is the right approach. any advise?
