Hi All,
I work for a not-for-profit, managing about 100 users. We have O365 and a couple of E3 licenses set up, and I am evaluating it mainly as a replacement to our very old in-house Exchange server.
I'm extremely keen to implement O365 as a single solution. I would rather not use a separate solution for anti-virus/spam/malware and for compliance/retrieval of e-mails for HR-related reasons - if that functionality is in-built. I could go for free charity E1 licensing PLUS a 3rd party solution, but then I miss out on the ability to deploy the Office 2013 software that comes with E3.
I'm finding it hard to gather case studies of organisations that use and are satisfied with these current in-built features that O365 provides. One issue may be that O365 features seem to be changing all the time (e.g FOPE vs EOP). Another problem is that Microsoft's "Office 365 Community" seems to be a one-way shouting match by disgruntled customers.
It seems that 3rd party solutions are currently superior - and every vendor is confident of this - but not every organisation necessarily needs a MimeCast level of service, and I'm finding concrete stats regarding the failings of EOP hard to come by. Our MS partner is confident that Microsoft will eventually "get there" in terms of the included functionality, but they would still recommend additional products at this moment in time.
So, does anyone have their eggs in one basket, and are people happy?
Thanks
