Mail Merge with Office 365 Shared Mailbox

Hi,

we have couple of Office 365 Shared Mailboxes and we often send mail merge from those shared mailbox. if the shared mailbox is mapped to a user mailbox you cannot set it as primary mailbox to send out the mail merge and you cannot configure it a different outlook profile because it does not have any user name or password tied to it.

right now we just convert the shared mailbox to user mailbox and let users to do the mail merge which is annoying and a lot of work to do.

I have already searched on the internet but couldn't find anything useful. do you guys have any idea or an alternate way to fix this?

we have Hybrid environment and using outlook 2016.
