Hi Community,
I'm wondering if someone can assist me here. I have an on-site Exchange (2010) that has just been migrated to Office 365. In decommissioning the old exchange I have been exporting the mailboxes to PST and disabling them through the Exchange Manager. This has had a profound effect on the SMTP addresses for my users.
Now the primary address for each user who's mailbox has been disabled shows as username@tenantname.onmicrosoft.com instead of the usual username@mydomain.com. The primary address was fine before the mailbox was removed from the exchange.
It seems nothing I do to manipulate the AD object will successfully modify the primary address. I have even tried recreating all the mailboxes in the local exchange to fix things temporarily, but no joy was to be found here either.
Help please!
