I'm looking at a client's Windows 10 Home PC that has Office 2016 installed. Whenever she double clicks to open an XLS or XLSX file, she gets the following error...
Then Excel opens in this weird blank screen.....
I have searched Google for answers and tried them all like set/unset checkbox for "Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange", and disable/enable display hardware acceleration, and reassigning the default application for XLS files to Excel 2016, and using the Office Online Repair, and even completely uninstalling Office 365 and reinstalling it.
Nothing seems to make this problem go away.
I know it is related to her PC because I can open the exact same file on another PC with Excel 2016 with no problem.
I can open the file on her machine if I do so by opening Excel then opening the file from within Excel. The problem...
