We have an Exchange 2010 server running in a Hybrid configuration topology with Office 365. Exchange is basically just used for management and not for mail flow.
We have an SSL Certificate that is due to expire in a few weeks and it is going to be quite costly to renew. It looks as if Exchange is the only thing using the certificate. In the Exchange Management Console it's say that IIS and SMTP are being 'used' by the certificate (please see attached).
the following microsoft article says that "connections to Exchange services that use this certificate may fail". But how do i find out what is actually using the certificate? can we let our custom certificate expire and just use the default exchange ones?
