In an attempt to protect my domain from the possibility of a virus or other malware attack turning a workstation in to a spam-bot, and then ultimately black-listing my domain, I attempted to purchase outbound email scanning from AppRiver. The sales rep was happy to setup a free trial but now that I attempt to implement the solution AppRiver support is telling me outbound scanning is not supported for O365 customers.
I see within the Exchange Online admin tool there is an outbound spam section, but aside from CCing an admin it doesn't seem to be configurable at all.
Do I need to be worried about outbound scanning or is sufficient protection already built into O365?
