Trying to understand something here as I've not had to do this before and documentation seems a little fragmented.
Right now we have on-prem Exchange 2010 SP3 for domain.com.
We have a bunch of overseas people (not really staff) using several instances of somethingelse.com hosted standalone on 365 - basically just 365 being used for email.
We've been asked if we can have them use domain.com for their email presence, but as they aren't strictly staff we're prefer not to have to give them accounts on our AD.
Is there any neat, simple, supported way to do this which would keep them at arms length using 365?
I know you can do hybrid but I believe they still need to exist in AD in which case there's no real benefit in sticking with 365 for them.
