Lync Participant cannot join presentation without microphone

Using Lync Online. Not sure if this is the best group to post this question.

We need to present to a group of participants. Only the presenter needs to speak. All participants are muted. Problem is participants cannot join the meeting without a microphone. How can we allow participants to join meetings without a microphone since it is not necessary?
