we are using Office 365 with a new domain (never have had in-house exchange) and have ADFS setup. The issues i have been seeing is when i try to hide a user from the gal or give access to a mailbox i get errors like this
The operation on mailbox "user_name" failed because it's out of the current user's write scope. The action 'Set-Mailbox', 'HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled', can't be performed on the object 'user_name' because the object is being synchronized from your on-premises organization. This action should be performed on the object in your on-premises organization.
Now how can i manage it when i don't even have the attributes in my AD that point to mail or exchange options because it is an Office 365 setup????, Is there some add on or tool i am missing that i need to install or is MS just not realizing that their program is broken.
I have called MS and they keep telling me the same thing "you need to manage it from your AD".. I would love to , Just tell me how now...lol.
