We have a Mac with Office 365 installed on the Parallels side that freezes (max CPU condition) when it opens.
After a bunch of troubleshooting, we have it boiled down to the action of creating a "new" document where Word or Excel tries to display the online templates. Since Office 365 has an option of disabling the startup screen that displays the templates, we have a temporary workaround of just opening it up in the conventional mode of a blank document. But the second you click on "new" document, it freezes.
Reinstalling Office and repairing did not fix it. Starting it in safe mode cures the problem, however starting it in normal mode with all add-ins disabled does not work. It appears to specifically tie in to loading live templates. The user can log on to his Live account just fine. It all displays the correct account information. We also cleared temporary files because we ran out of things to try.
It's workable, but we dare not do a File/New action
