I am looking at migrating several schools and I'm leaning towards a cutover migration and wanted people to let me know if they believe there are better options. Existing Environments are either Ex2007 or 2010 and each school has fewer than 500 mailboxes. The aim is to migrated all users ASAP.
In a lab I have tested the cutover migration followed by a dirsync to match accounts so we can manage accounts and password on premise. All seemed to work nicely, with same sign on achieved and mailbox data moved to O365. In testing the biggest pain seemed to be the Outlook profiles, where a new one had to be created, losing signature and auto complete from the previous profile. I believe there are 3rd party tools that can be used to assist with Outlook reconfig that i need to look into.
