Microsoft is now allowing iOS users to use iCloud to "'open, edit, and save documents ... right from within Office."
This continues Microsoft's recent moves to endorse interoperability in spite of competition from companies like Apple and Google. According toBrandon Hill of HotHardware, Satya Nadella, Microsoft's current CEO, has played a seminal role making Windows more friendly and open to native integration. Under his tenure, Microsoft has "partnered with Dropbox" and created "high-functioning Office apps for iOS and Android."
