I'm in the middle of a staged migration from on-premise Exchange 2007 to Office 365 (Business Essentials). The staged migration technet article indicates that the migration process sets the "targetaddress" of on-premise accounts to point to the O365 accounts.
Well, as I stated, I'm in the middle of a migration and none of the on-premise accounts have forwarding setup. I would have thought that forwarding would be setup 1st so any messages sent to the users during the migration went directly to O365 instead of the on-premise so messages didn't get lost.
Am I missing something?
Thanks!
Bill
