smtp server relay for office 365

Followed these forums to setup a smtp relay server on a local 08 server.

Followed these all step by step, mail is able to go from my notification applications into my local smtp server but then failes to go onto office 365 and into my inbox. Not sure what I'm missing, something on the 365 side I'm thinking but just not sure what. help!
