Ok, decided to start the ball rolling with Microsoft and see about subscription costs now that Midsize business cap has been raised to 300 users and the enterprise plans are going cost more. We now fall into this having 100 users. Big cost saving if we change from E3 to this. Yes, I know we loose litigation hold but I am looking at mimecast to pick this up plus it gives us business continuity.
Anyway - get a call from subscription team - nope, there is NO WAY to downgrade from Enterprise to Midsize. You have to get a new setup, and work out a way to move EVERYTHING - sharepoint, email, users over.
Microsoft - whats the point of raising the cap if you downt allow your existing users to get access to it - grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
